Staff:
John Gallagher – Director at Heritage High School Clint Juday – Director at Heritage Middle School Clint Juday is the Director of Bands at Heritage Middle School and Associate Director at Heritage High School. Prior to coming to Heritage, Mr. Juday spent 9 years as Director of Bands at Gibbs High School. He has also taught at Holston, Carter, and Karns Middle Schools in Knoxville. He earned his Masters of Music degree at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville where he assisted with the “Pride of the Southland” Marching Band. He received his Bachelors of Music degree from Middle Tennessee State University. Mr. Juday has served as an instructor, clinician, and adjudicator throughout Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky, Georgia, and North Carolina for the past 29 years. He is an active member of East Tennessee School Band & Orchestra Association, Tennessee Music Educators Association, Tennessee Bandmasters Association, Tennessee Secondary School Band Directors Association, and the Percussive Arts Society. Russel McCurdy – Director at Eagleton Middle School Leza Carver – Color Guard Director Leza Carver supports the Mountaineer Band as the Director of the Color Guards, a position she has held since the 2004. While her time with Heritage she has established an award winning Color Guard program for the Fall Marching and Winter Guard seasons. Mrs. Carver is an alumnus of MHS (1998) where she was a member of the Red Rebel Band, Color Guard Captain and French Horn player. Leza attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where she was a member of the color guard, guard captain and color guard tech in The Marching Mocs. Throughout her performance career and thereafter, she has served as a director, designer, choreographer, and technician for many groups throughout the area, including Hixson High School (Tennessee), Red Bank High School (Tennessee), Dalton High School (Georgia), Maryville High School (Tennessee), Intensity Winter Guard, Fuel Winter Guard and several other local groups. Mrs. Carver is also a seasoned adjudicator for the Marching season and enjoys helping other programs grow and expand on their abilities. |
