Why are band clinics important? Band clinics give each student an
opportunity to compete with other band students around the East Tennessee
area. This will cause each student to
practice more, be more competitive on his/her instrument, take private lessons
to improve more & eventually contact colleges to tryout for
scholarships. We are trying to encourage
students to have a desire to improve as individual players.

Percussion:
Rudiments-Single Stroke Roll, Double Stroke, Flam, Ruff (possibly other
rudiments as well) Sightreading on snare & mallets & scales
