Heritage has 6 students selected for ETSBOA All-East Senior Clinic

In January, the ETSBOA All-East Senior Clinic auditions were held at South-Doyle High School.  Students auditioned to be selected for one of 4 bands, or an orchestra.  They competed against students from schools all across East Tennessee and were judged based on their ability to play their major scales, chromatic scale and a prepared piece, as well as on their sight-reading ability.  Heritage had six students selected for the honor of participating in the clinic.  They were Jeff McDonald (Baritone), Kevin Smith (Clarinet), Josh Titlow (Clarinet), Chelsie Smith (Flute), Nikki Rooks (Flute) & Nathaniel Gallagher (Percussion).  The clinic will be held at the Park Vista Hotel in Gatlinburg on the first weekend in February.  Congratulations to these students for doing such a fine job in representing Heritage!

Congratulations to Christy Taylor for making the University of Tennessee Pride of the Southland marching band majorette line!  It is very difficult to make the majorette line at UT & we are so proud that Christy will be representing Heritage High School as she performs during the UT football games this upcoming season.
