BAND CAMP INFORMATION

WHAT: Band Camp

WHERE: Heritage High School

WHEN:

May 26 & 27: END OF YEAR CAMP (marching & music rehearsal) for all band members @ HHS (8:00-3:00 pm) PLEASE DON’T SCHEDULE ANY APPOINTMENTS DURING THIS TIME!  $40.00 Band Camp Deposit Due (you may pay the entire amount of $110.00 if you wish) May 27 schedule will be 8:00-1:00 pm followed by a pool party @ John Sevier Pool till 4:00 pm.

June 9, 16 & 23: Tuesday night rehearsals for all band members (6:00-9:00 p.m.) You may pay your Band Camp Fee at this time!

July 13-23: BAND CAMP (marching & music) for all band members @ Heritage High School PLEASE DON’T SCHEDULE ANY APPOINTMENTS DURING THIS TIME!  Remaining amount of Band Camp Fee Due ($110.00 total for all summer)

Monday, July 13: 8:00-5:00 pm

Tuesday, July 14: 8:00-5:00 pm

Wednesday, July 15, 8:00-5:00 pm

Thursday, July 16: 9:00-9:00 pm

Friday, July 17: 9:00-9:00 pm

Monday, July 20: 9:00-9:00 pm

Tuesday, July 21: 9:00-9:00 pm

Wednesday, July 22: 8:00-5:00 pm

Thursday, July 23: 8:00-5:00 pm

July 23: Parent show @ 6 p.m. (parent meeting following the performance)

WHY: The whole idea of band camp is to get everyone together at one time to learn the 2009 marching show.  This time also gives the band a chance to work together as a a group and learn to depend on each other.  For these reasons, it is IMPERATIVE that each student attend band camp in order to participate in the Heritage High School Marching Band.

BAND CAMP FEE:  $110.00 (BAND SHIRT, INSTRUCTORS, MUSIC (when purchased), REFRESHMENTS FOR BREAKS, AND ALL OTHER EXPENSES THAT MAY OCCUR) MONEY MUST BE TURNED IN BY MONDAY, JULY 13 for all participants (make checks payable to Heritage High School Band)

8:00-5:00 DAILY SCHEDULE:

YOU MUST EAT A GOOD BREAKFAST!

 8:00-12:00-Marching

12:00-1:00-LUNCH (we will have concessions; bring your own money-$5.00 per meal)

NO ONE LEAVES CAMPUS FOR LUNCH!

1:00-5:00-Sectionals, Full Band, Marching (depending on weather)                       

9:00-9:00 DAILY SCHEDULE:

9:00-12:00-Marching

12:00-1:00-Lunch (we will have concessions; bring your own money-$5.00 per meal)

NO ONE LEAVES CAMPUS FOR LUNCH!

1:00-4:00-Sectionals & Full Band

4:00-6:00-Dinner Break (you may leave or stay) (we will have concessions; bring your own money-$5.00 per meal)

6:00-9:00-Marching

ITEMS TO BRING TO CAMP:

YOU MUST WEAR WHITE SOCKS AT ALL TIMES DURING BAND CAMP DUE TO MARCHING

TENNIS SHOES (no high-tops or sandals & more than one pair)

PENCIL/PEN FOR WRITING ON CHARTS AND IN MUSIC

BUG SPRAY, SUNTAN LOTION

MONEY FOR LUNCH (the band boosters will have concessions available-$5.00 per meal)

CHANGE FOR THE VENDING MACHINES IF DESIRED  

NO DOCTOR APPOINTMENTS (or dental) ARE TO BE SCHEDULED DURING THIS TIME OF REHEARSING.  WE NEED NO INTERRUPTIONS TO TAKE PLACE DURING THIS CAMP!
